My dad told me something when I was little that I've never been able to shake: "the eyes are the window to the soul." I didn't know it then, but that became the foundation of everything I do behind a camera.

I'm not here to capture what something looked like. I'm here to capture what it felt like: the tension, the warmth, the quiet, the joy that hasn't quite reached the mouth yet but is already alive in the eyes.
