Hi, I'm Marielsy
I grew up in Venezuela, and leaving meant carrying something invisible with me, the faces of the people I loved, the light of a place I couldn't take in my suitcase. Photography became the way I held on.
That experience changed how I see people through a lens. When you've had to memorize faces because you don't know when you'll see them again, you learn to look differently. You stop looking at the surface and start looking for what's underneath.
That's what I'm always chasing. Not the perfect pose, not the right light, the moment your eyes give something away. The feeling that was in the room. The version of you that only exists in that one second.
I want to give you back something you didn't know you needed to keep.
"The eyes are the window to the soul."
